Fruit with the scientific name Spondias purpurea from the Anacardiaceae family, originally from Central America and found in Mexico, the Caribbean and several countries in South America.
Also known as Ciriguela, they resemble large olives and are green when young, and depending on the variety, yellow, orange or red when ripe.
